Financial Advisor

My interest in the stock market started while attending high school at Mid Pacific Institute. Interest and curiosity led me to major in business finance and management.  Upon returning home from my final season of college baseball, I sat down with a friend who was a financial advisor. From our conversation, I realized that being a financial advisor was much more than the patterns, ratios and charts I learned in school.  It was equally important to build strong relationships, earn trust and effectively communicate…  Traits that I believe are embodied by championship-winning sports teams.

What I love about being a financial advisor is that every client brings a new situation and set of goals/challenges to accomplish or overcome.  From little league, to college ball and now as a coach, I’ve learned to expect the unexpected each and every time I walk onto the field.  Regardless of how prepared we are, the game (and life) has a knack for throwing curveballs.  It’s times like these that teams need someone with experience and a 360 degree view of the game, there to call a time-out, offer emotional support and change-up the plan.  My participation in sports, has taught me determination, hard work, perseverance and instilled a competitive spirit to help my clients “win the game”.

You.

You are determined to get a better understanding of your financial situation and take the necessary steps toward pursuing your goals. You are looking for an advisor to not only help strategize against any financial challenges but to also be there to talk story from time to time and discuss recent sports games and trades.

Me.

My investment philosophy in action:

All investment advice must pass the “parent test.” Before recommending anything to a client, I ask myself: “Would I implement this strategy for my parents?” That simple question holds me to the highest of ethical standards.

Five rules I live by:

  1. Find the positive in every situation.
  2. Treat others how you would like to be treated.
  3. You can only control your own thoughts and actions. Focus on what you can control.
  4. To conquer anything, you must master the fundamentals.
  5. Kids (and adults!) should play sports. It teaches determination, perseverance, time management, and hard work.

Ready to take the next step?

In our first meeting I always explain that it’s the introduction phase where you get to know me and I get to hear what your goals are and what you would like to pursue in this meeting. I then take you through our four pillars to a sound financial home, then the Hawaii Financial Advisor’s process.

Then I gather your information and statements to do a thorough analysis and see what solutions or strategies we can implement to help you pursue your goals that you’ve mentioned in our first meeting.

Present my findings in our second meeting and explain the recommendations of strategies that we can implement to help you work towards your goals.
