One day after church over 35 years ago, a friend asked me if I had life insurance. “Of course,” I replied. I’m a responsible family man! But his next question caught me off guard: “Is it the good kind or the bad kind?”
At that time in my life, I was a professional racquetball player, raising a young family.
I had no idea that my life insurance was the “bad kind.” As in, it was way too expensive and would replace my income for only one year if I passed away. Meaning, within 12 months, my family would be out of money, forced into survival mode – living a life I would not want for them.
That fateful encounter was all it took. I was thirsty for knowledge, and eager to share all of the financial wisdom I was drinking in.
My motivation today is the same as it was 35 years ago: To teach everyday people how to manage their money so they can enjoy life now and in the future.
Whether you've been saving for years and want to create an income stream that can last a lifetime, or are just starting out, get in touch – I'd be happy to have a conversation with you.
My investment philosophy in action:
Tomorrow you’ll wish you had started today.
